1. Agreement to Terms
By downloading, installing, or using Paranoia (the “App”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use (“Terms”). If you do not agree, do not use the App.
These Terms are a binding agreement between you and Fawzi Karam, an individual developer currently operating as the sole provider of the App (“we,” “us,” “our,” or the “Developer”).
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 16 years old to use the App. By using the App, you represent that you meet this age requirement.
If you are under the age of majority in your jurisdiction, you represent that a parent or legal guardian has reviewed and agreed to these Terms on your behalf, or that you otherwise have the legal capacity to agree to these Terms yourself.
3. The App
Paranoia is a party game. It can be played “pass and play” on a single device with people in the same room, or “online” with players connected over the internet who join a shared game session using a room code.
Online sessions may include optional real-time voice chat between players, and optional in-app purchases of virtual items (see Sections 7 and 8).
4. Your Account
To use online features, you must sign in using Sign in with Apple. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your device and account, and for all activity that occurs under your account.
Notify us promptly at support@taurus.games if you believe your account has been compromised.
5. Acceptable Use
We have zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive behavior of any kind. When using the App, you agree not to:
- Harass, threaten, bully, or abuse other players, including through voice chat or custom questions
- Post, transmit, or generate content that is illegal, obscene, defamatory, discriminatory, or infringes another person's rights
- Impersonate any person or entity, or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or entity
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to another player's account, our systems, or any other player's device
- Use automated means (bots, scripts) to access or interact with the App
- Interfere with or disrupt the App, our servers, or other players' ability to use the App
- Use the App for any illegal purpose, or to violate any law in your jurisdiction
Every player can report objectionable content or abusive behavior, and block another player, directly from within the App. We review reports and act on them, including removing content and suspending or terminating the offending account, within 24 hours of receiving a report. We reserve the right to remove content, suspend or terminate access, and take any other action we consider appropriate in response to a violation of these Terms.
6. User-Generated Content
The App lets you write custom questions and choose a display name and profile photo (“User Content”). You retain any rights you have in your User Content, but you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, display, and transmit your User Content as necessary to operate the App and share it with other players in your game sessions.
You are solely responsible for your User Content. You represent that you have the right to submit it and that it does not violate these Terms or any law.
We do not actively pre-screen User Content before it is shared with other players, but we may remove it and/or suspend the account that submitted it if we become aware it violates these Terms. If you encounter User Content or player conduct that concerns you, report it to support@taurus.games and we will review it.
7. Voice Chat
Online games may include optional real-time voice chat with other players in your game session. Voice audio is transmitted live between players through our third-party voice service provider and is not recorded or stored by us.
You can mute your microphone at any time from within the App, and you should be mindful that other players in a voice channel can hear you. Do not record other players' voices without their consent.
Report abusive behavior in voice chat to support@taurus.games.
8. Purchases and Virtual Items
The App may offer virtual items for purchase — such as tokens, question packs, cosmetic items, or gameplay perks (“Virtual Items”) — through Apple's In-App Purchase system. All purchases are billed and processed by Apple, and are subject to Apple's own terms and refund policies, not ours.
Virtual Items have no cash value, cannot be exchanged for real money, transferred outside the App, or redeemed for anything other than in-app use. We may change the availability, pricing, or nature of Virtual Items at any time.
Purchases are generally final. To request a refund, contact Apple directly through your device's purchase history.
9. Intellectual Property
The App, including its design, question packs, artwork, and branding (but excluding User Content), is owned by us and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or create derivative works based on the App without our prior written permission.
10. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the App at any time, with or without notice, for conduct we believe violates these Terms or is otherwise harmful to other users, us, or third parties. You may stop using the App at any time.
Sections of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination (including Sections 8 through 14) will survive.
11. Disclaimer of Warranties
THE APP IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE,” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE APP WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR SECURE, OR THAT ANY DEFECTS WILL BE CORRECTED.
WE ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR THE CONDUCT OR CONTENT OF ANY PLAYER, WHETHER ONLINE OR IN PERSON, INCLUDING ANYTHING SAID OR SHARED THROUGH VOICE CHAT OR CUSTOM QUESTIONS.
12. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, GOODWILL, OR PROFITS, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE APP OR YOUR INTERACTIONS WITH OTHER PLAYERS, EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.
OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING FROM THESE TERMS OR THE APP WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM AROSE, OR (B) $20 USD.
SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW THESE LIMITATIONS, SO SOME OF THE ABOVE MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU.
13. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the App, your User Content, your violation of these Terms, or your interactions with other players.

15. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you within the App — for example, by requiring you to accept the updated Terms before continuing to use the App. Continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
16. Severability & Entire Agreement
If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full effect. These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, are the entire agreement between you and us regarding the App.
