Is Paranoia a drinking game?
Not by default — it's a party game and icebreaker first, similar in spirit to Truth or Dare or Most Likely To. Nothing stops you from turning any round into a drinking game with your own house rules, but the app itself doesn't require alcohol.
How many players do you need?
Paranoia works with as few as 3 players and supports up to 12 in an online room. Pass & Play mode is built for a single phone passed around a group in person.
Does it work without wifi?
Yes. Pass & Play needs no internet connection and no account at all. Online mode with live voice chat needs a connection since it syncs the game across everyone's phones in real time.
Is Paranoia free to download?
Yes, Paranoia is free on the App Store with a free starter pack included. Additional themed question packs are available as one-time in-app purchases.
What languages does Paranoia support?
The app is fully playable in English, French, Spanish, German, Russian, and Arabic — pick your language in the app, and both the app and every question pack switch with you.
Is Paranoia like Truth or Dare or Most Likely To?
It borrows the DNA of both — a Most Likely To-style question about someone in the room, answered privately, with the same "someone's about to get exposed" energy as Truth or Dare. Paranoia is rated 16+.
